pool rules

Strictly no children are to be left unattended.

lessons

Lesson duration is 30 minutes. For reasons of safety, no one is to enter the water before their lesson or before the teacher.

eating

Children should not eat a minimum of 1 hour prior to their lesson.

questions & queries

All questions & queries must be directed in writing to the club manager concerned. Teachers must not be disturbed or interrupted at the poolside.

swimwear

The wearing of loose fitting swimwear or baggy shorts is inadvisable as these prevent ease of movement in the water. All babies must wear appropriate swim wear i.e. swim nappy under a swimming costume.

hygiene

To ensure that a high standard of water hygiene is maintained, all accompanying adults must shower before entering the pool.

swim caps

It is compulsory for all pupils to wear swimming caps except in the cases of babies with minimal hair. Caps keep hair out of the face and help maintain pool hygiene. Accompanying adults are required to tie their hair up accordingly.

showering

Water is precious. Let us all be respectful of the use of water and teach our children to be the same.

eating & drinking

Absolutely no eating or drinking (other than water and necessary baby’s formulae) is allowed in pool and changing areas.
