introduction
Our Annual Award Books recognise the achievements for our pupils who attend regular swimming lessons.
there are two award books
1st award book
The first book focuses on levels 1 – 5 and is awarded to our little pupils who are learning basic swimming skills, or who have finally leaned to swim unaided for a distance of 10m or more.
2nd award book
Our second book is for levels 6 – 10 and is awarded to our pupils who can swim, but are learning the four stokes and perfecting technique. Other swimming skills are taught alongside these higher levels and our older pupils must be able to perform these skills before achieving the next level.
Each book is filled with hints and tips for parents and pupils which aims to give everyone a better understanding of the levels and what is needed to achieve them.
Please look after your books.
Once an Award Book has been presented, each following year a “glitter sticker” representing the new level or levels achieved during the year will be awarded to the pupil for them to stick in their Award Book.
progress card
Sometimes our pupils will make huge progress but stay within the same level achieved the year before. This is still progress and they too will be awarded for their achievements.
Our Annual Award books are presented once a year in July.
Look out for our "Orange Envelope Week".

Please note:
Annual Award Books are only awarded upon receipt of the pupils photograph, these make the book a little more special. Pupils who reach new levels within the same award book will only be issued a new sticker to recognise their achievement – not a new book. New booklets are awarded when moving from level 5 – 6. Award Books are awarded to pupils who attend regular ongoing lessons only – not courses or private lessons.
